Foreign Students Scholarships in Anhui Province
1. Category of Scholarship and Eligibility Criteria
(1) Category of Scholarship: the scholarship of 2014 is divided into 3 categories: the Scholarship for Students of Bachelor's Degree, the Scholarship for Students of Master's Degree and the Scholarship for Students of Doctor's Degree in Anhui Normal University.
(2) The Applicants:the applicants should be doctoral students, postgraduate students and undergraduate students who are voluntary to apply to study or who have already been studying in Anhui province. (except those who have already applied certain scholarships from Chinese government.)
(3) Eligibility Criteria:
a. The applicants must have their own overseas nationality, passport and a valid visa to China, and show their own amity to China.
b. The applicants should have certain Chinese proficiency and provide relevant proof, such as the HSK certificate or other Chinese learning and examination certificates. Some majors requiring direct English teaching can loose the condition appropriately.
c. The applicants must have the following Eligibility Criteria:
※the Scholarship for Students of Bachelor's Degree: the applicants shouldnot be more than 28 years old and have a record of formal schooling which is equivalent to the China high school educational background.
※the Scholarship for Students of Master's Degree: the applicants should not be more than 40 years old, and have a Bachelor’s Degree and a recommendation letter from two professors or associate professors.
※the Scholarship for Students of Doctor's Degree: the applicants shouldnot be more than 45 years old, and have a Master’s Degree and a recommendation letter from two professors or associate professors.
2.Study time:
The scholarship winner should begin the study in Autumn in 2014.The duration of the study is four academic years for Bachelors, and three years for Masters and Doctors.
3. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria
Before getting the scholarship, the overseas students in Anhui Province who want to apply for it are supposed to afford the wage of study, accommodation and insurance.The scholarship will be extended at the form cash in 10 months(except February and August) from the date of enrollment.The standard of scholarship is:
1)50,000 Yuan per person per year for the Doctors.
2)30,000 Yuan per person per year for the Masters.
3)20,000 Yuan per person per year for the Bachelors.
4.Applicants should submit those documents:
1). A form for overseas students to apply scholarships in Anhui province
2). A photocopy of your personal passport
3). A Certificate of your highest degree and academic degree (such as diplomas)
4). A Certificate of your performance issued by your school
5).Relevant original copy of your recommendation
5.Annual review of scholarship
The school will check the students’ performance, behavior and whether they observe the law and discipline, aiming at the students who have gotten the scholarship. Then the school will report the results to the Education Department of Anhui province to decide whether the students can enjoy scholarship next year or not.
